Common Uses:
This medication is used to treating invasive fungal infections in patients who cannot tolerate other forms of Abelcet.
Off Label Uses:
None noted currently.
Side Effects:
Chills;
Caughing;
Fever;
Headache;
Loss of appetite;
Muscle or joint pain;
Nausea;
Rapid heartbeat;
Sleeplessness;
Stomach pain;
Weight loss.
Cautions / Warnings:
Not advisable in people who are allergic to any ingredient in Abelcet;
Not advisable in people who are taking an azole antifungal (eg, ketoconazole);
Not advisable in people who are pregnant, planning to become pregnant.
Drug Interactions:
Azole antifungals (eg, ketoconazole);
Aminoglycoside antibiotics (eg, gentamicin), antineoplastic medicines (eg, cisplatin);
Leukocyte;
Corticosteroids (eg, prednisone) or corticotropin;
Digoxin, flucytosine, skeletal muscle relaxants (eg, tubocurarine), or zidovudine.
