The generic name of this medication is lovastatin, niacin. Brand name is Advicor.
The active ingredients of this medication are bismuth subsalicylate and cefditoren pivoxil.

Advicor is a cholesterol-lowering drug. Mainly used in improving cholesterol levels and lowering very high serum triglyceride levels, in combination with diet and exercise.

Common Uses:

Used to alleviate high cholesterol levels and for lowering very high serum triglyceride levels, in combination with diet and exercise.

Off Label Uses:

None noted currently.

Side Effects:
Back pain
Chills
Constipation
Diarrhea
Fainting
Flu syndrome
Flushing (itching, redness, tingling, warmth)
Gas
Headache
Increased heartbeat
Indigestion
Infection (fever, sore throat)
Itching
Muscle aches
Nausea
Pain
Pounding in the chest
Rash
Shortness of breath
Stomach upset
Sweating
Swelling
Vomiting
Weakness

Cautions / Warnings:

Not recommended for following conditions:
In those with allergies to any ingredient in Advicor.
In the presence of active liver or peptic ulcer disease.
Abnormal liver tests or a history of bleeding arteries.
In pre-pregnancy and during pregnancy.
In patients with low blood pressure, heart disease, recurring chest pain or a serious bleeding condition.

Drug Interactions:
Bosentan, carbamazepine, or rifampin
Amiodarone, azole antifungals (itraconazole)
Fibrates(clofibrate), cyclosporine, danazol, diltiazem, gemfibrozil, HIV protease inhibitors (ritonavir)
Anticoagulants (warfarin)
