Warnings
The generic name of this medication is ibuprofen and brand name is Advil Liqui-Gels.
The active ingredient of this medication is solubilized ibuprofen equal to 200 mg ibuprofen.
Advil Migraine is manufactured by Wyeth Ayerst Pharmaceuticals.
Mainly used in the treatment of minor aches and pains caused by the common cold, headaches, toothaches, back or muscle aches, menstrual cramps, and/or arthritis.
Common Uses:
This medication is used in treating minor aches and pains caused by the common cold, headaches, toothaches, back or muscle aches, menstrual cramps or arthritis.
Off Label Uses:
The off label use of this medication is that it may also be used to reduce fever.
Side Effects:
Constipation
Diarrhea
Dizziness
Gas
Headache
Heartburn
Nausea
Stomach pain or upset
Cautions / Warnings:
Not recommended for patients with the following conditions:
If allergic to any ingredient in Advil Liqui-Gels.
If there has been a severe allergic reaction (severe rash, hives, trouble breathing, growths in the nose, dizziness) to aspirin or an NSAID (eg ibuprofen, celecoxib).
If patient has recently undergone or will undergo bypass heart surgery.
During the last trimester of pregnancy.
Drug Interactions:
Anticoagulants (warfarin), aspirin, corticosteroids (prednisone), heparin or selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) such as fluoxetine.
Probenecid.
Cyclosporine, lithium, methotrexate, or quinolones (ciprofloxacin).
Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors (eg enalapril) or diuretics (eg furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide).
