User Comments about Agomelatine
14 Jul 2015 I was on 25mg for a year. I was fine. Doctor increased to 50mg a week ago and my head is about to explode. Headaches and migraines are driving me insane! Trying to figure out if that's momentary or not.

17 Jun 2015 The first night I had this, I had a terrible night sleep, vivid dreams and my anxiety was through the roof. I was so emotional and had s tough time not crying(not normal for me). My doctor took me off them and put me on Ativan. After another visit a few days later, we decided to give Valdoxan another go in conjunction with the Ativan. The first 5 days were an emotional roller coaster for me. I wanted to cry constantly. 8 days in and I'm finally starting to feel good emotionally. My anxiety is finally under control and I'm getting a libido again for the first time in 6 years(since Zoloft killed it).

26 May 2015 I haven't started Valdoxan, yet. I read your comments and I'm really concerned about the back aches. I suffer from back aches (more like AGONY) without any help form meds. My back aches are psychosomatic, no pain killer helps. I'm going to try this. I've been on just about every antidepressant on the market, except for a couple. Only the first one worked and only for 7 years.

30 May 2015 Please don't start Agomelatine with these side-effects in your mind. Wait and see what it does for you. everybody reacts different and it could be the right one for you! I think, if you you have psychosomatic problems that you can definetely "talk" yourself also into not having a benefit from A., because you read a lot of stuff you didn't like to hear and now you fear you might react the same. When your first medication worked already for you , I think that was fantastic and it even worked for 7 YEARS! It took my psychiatrist 2 years, I had 45 ECT, 3 hospital admissions and one suicide attempt until I slowly reacted on a combination no-one else would prescribe or take. And it was more or less per accident. I had tried everything on the market , some twice - 2 or 3 worked, each for 6 weeks and then I went back into the black hole. I have to say it scares me, when I hear that you were fine with your medication and than suddenly, after 7 years it wouldn't work anymore. But as I wrote in the beginning: go with hope and trust into the trying out of Valdoxan. Nothing could be worse than to endanger a success, because you don't believe in what you are taking. I suffered for quite a while from psychosomatic overreaction to light. Even a red light on the road would hurt my eyes. So I know, how hard those pains are, because nothing helps, because you produce your own pain. If it might help you to talk to someone, I would very much like to help you. I started a support group for depression sufferers a few weeks after I had started a new combination of 3 different anti-depressants. These group meetings helped me a lot, because I saw that there are more people out there, who feel exactly like I do and it does not cure you , but you don't feel so ostracisiced and not understood, when you with a group of people, who have the same problem as you do. I keep my fingers crossed for you that Agomelatine helps you: believe very hard that it will! Your body believes in your back-pain, perhaps it believes in the pain medication, when you do! All the best to you Anonymous

27 May 2015 I am taking it couple of years already. It helps. I don't have major side effects, but I do have dry mouth. Hope it will help to you, too.
