21 Jun 2017 When I was on Amisulpride I lost weight, was very energetic, taking on new skills and courses, etc. However, I became very outspoken leading to arguments with my doctor and the breaking of the Hippocratic Oath. The worst symptoms I had were seizures in the brain, sleeplessness and loss of libido. I am now on a vastly reduced daily dose of manerix (for depression & phobias), Diazepam (for anxiety) and Olanzapine. Olanzapine has caused weight gain, a numb brain, low platelet counts in the blood ( causing bleeding) and diabetes. The best drug I was on, apart from Amisulpride after the seizure, was Propanolol that knocked out all the fear I had but I became extremely psychotic. Counselling & self talk help

21 Jun 2017 I've been on this medication for around a year and a half. I was a non-schizophrenic hearing voices in my head. First I was prescribed Abilify and it did not help at all. But solian 200 mg saved my life. The voices subsided almost within a week. As for the side effects; 1) emotional numbness during the first 6-7 months until your brain gets used to it 2) it kills the libido for the first 6-7 months, until your body gets used to it 3) lactation (high prolactin levels) which always continues 4) constant menstruation. i bleed for at least 20 days in a month 5) decreased appetite 6) last, but not least, weight gain (also, insulin resistance) I was also diagnosed with hypothyroidism after starting this medication but I don't know if it has anything to do with it. Despite these side effects, I owe my sanity to Solian. I'm able to work again. I am peaceful. I'm like any other normal person now. This drug should be made legal everywhere.

09 May 2015 This medication has many adverse physical side effects for me. The worst being weight gain and irritability. My sleep pattern is also disturbed and I have very high prolactin levels.

03 Jun 2014 a wonderful drug which can relieve psychotic symptoms.surely better than olanzapine which may cause sedation or drowsiness and of course weight gain.

03 Jun 2014 I don't believe that amisulpride is more effective than olanzapine, in treating "psychosis". Amisulpride was a delight that turned into a nightmare for me, great energy and loss of weight quickly turned to a massive seizure in bed, chronic sleeplessness, drowsiness...Olanzapine is good at treating psychosis and for adding weight. I am know experimenting with Propanolol, a beta blocker, that knocks out fear, that is at the root of most mental illnesses. See the "New Scientist". Also, my GP claims olanzapine has caused diabetes, liver damage and low platelet levels- in my blood - that may cause bleeding in the brain! My advice: try beta blockers. Thanks.
