The generic name of this medication is azelastine and brand names are Astelin, Astepro.
The active ingredient of this medication is azelastine.
Used in the prevention of allergic reactions like sneezing, itching, runny nose, and other nasal symptoms associated with allergies.
Common Uses:

Off Label Uses:
None noted currently.
Side Effects:
Leaves a bitter taste in the mouth;
Headache;
Drowsiness or dizziness;
Dry mouth, sore throat;
Burning in your nose;
Weight gain;
Nausea;
Nosebleed.
Cautions / Warnings:
Not recommended in people with:
Allergic reactions to this medication or any of its ingredients.
It is not recommended in pregnant women; women planning on becoming pregnant; and nursing mothers.
Drug Interactions:
Cimetidine (Tagamet).
