Common Uses:

This medication is used in the treatment of itching, redness and swelling associated with many skin conditions.

Off Label Uses:

None noted currently.

Side Effects:
Burning, itching, irritation or dryness at the application site.

Cautions / Warnings:

Not recommended in patients with the following conditions:
If allergic to any ingredient in betamethasone dipropionate gel.
During pregnancy, pre-pregnancy and in nursing mothers.
If patient is on any prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation or dietary supplement.
If there are allergies to medicines, foods or other substances.
If there is thinning of the skin, skin infection or tuberculosis.

Drug Interactions:
Corticosteroids taken by mouth (e.g. prednisone)
Drugs that affect the immune system (e.g. cyclosporine).
