Treatment Information
Blueberries provide significant health benefits when included in the diet since it is high in phytonutrients which help the cells communicate with each other efficiently. Phytonutrients are a superfood, and even though they are not filled with the antioxidant vitamins C and E, they still provide as much antioxidant protection to the body as 1,733 IU of vitamin E and more than 1200 milligrams of vitamin C. Phytonutrients are non- mineral non-vitamin components that provide profound health benefits as described above. Hence, recommended dosage of blueberries is 1 to 2 cups of this amazing fruit should be consumed daily to obtain full health benefits.

Research indicates that the anthocyanins, proanthocyanidins, resveratrol, flavonols, and tannins found in blueberries inhibit the onset and growth of cancer cells and also prevent the onset of Alzheimer's disease and other degenerative conditions of aging.

Clinical studies at Rutgers shows that blueberries help prevent urinary tract infections. Animal studies found that blueberry consumption lowered brain damage, lowered cholesterol and total blood lipid levels, affecting symptoms of heart disease.
