User Comments about Colestid
08 Apr 2011 I began taking Colestid as a replacement for Welchol, which was too expensive for our drug plan. Within 2 hours of taking it, I had acute heartburn, nausea, abdominal pain. Within 4 hours, I had severe watery diahrrea. This was followed by fatigue, joint and muscle pain, and headache. My cholesterol is only slightly elevated, and I am a healthy person, so I am ready to give up trying these meds because the side effects are worse than the risk of heart attack at my age and fitness level.
