Common Uses:

Common uses of Cozaar include treating hypertension, left ventricular hypertrophy, decreasing the risk of stroke in patients with hypertension, and nephropathy in Type 2 diabetes. Cozaar may also be used to treat congestive heart failure.

Off Label Uses:

At present there are no off label uses of Cozaar however, it may also be used to treat congestive heart failure.

Side Effects:
Some of the common side effects while taking Cozaar include: nausea, edema, pharyngitis, diarrhea, insomnia, cough, sinus disorder, muscle cramps and dizziness.

Cautions / Warnings:

Cautions and warnings that need to be noted while taking Cozaar include the following: hypotension, impaired hepatic functions, impaired renal functions, pregnancy, electrolyte imbalance, carcinogenesis and impairment of fertility.

Drug Interactions:
Drug interactions for Cozaar include: potassium sparing diuretics, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, rifampin, and potassium supplements or salt substitutes with potassium.

12 Aug 2011	Freezing cold feet, loss of sensation in feet, swelling of ankles and feet, reduced urination, impaired thinking, sinus trouble, lethargy. Arterial spasms followed its discontinuation. 12 Jul 2011	My insurance was canceled for almost a year, so it became hard to get my medication. I did not know how much Cozaar helped until I had to stop taking it. The itchy sores on my face are unbearable at times so I am really glad my doctor prescribed Cozaar to help with the condition. 09 Sep 2010	When my dosage was raised to 100mg, my blood pressure is down. However, I have a runny nose, a cough wih congestion now, swelling around the eyes and very vivid dreams which are causing me to wake up every 2-4 hours. I am also very tired about 10-12 hours after taking the medication and just want to sleep but can't. Also have more joint pain in my hips.
