Crestor is manufactured by AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals.

Active ingredient of Crestor is rosuvastatin calcium and the inactive ingredients of Crestor are microcrystalline cellulose NF, lactose monohydrate NF, tribasic calcium phosphate NF.

This medication is used for alleviating high cholesterol and triglycerides in certain patients.

14 Nov 2015 I am now 62 yrs old and have been taking Crestor for 13 yrs under the supervision of my GP and a lipid specialist. I don't believe that they had any idea of the potential damage that this drug can cause and although I complained numerous times of muscle & joint pain, uncommon fatigue and diagnosed with peripheral neuropathology many years ago, they were unable to connect the dots. Earlier this year a new doctor discovered that my kidneys were starting to fail and that it was probably connected to my Crestor use. I have been off of Crestor for approx. 5 months now and am still suffering from severe muscle and joint pain, my feet are numb and painful at the same time and I've just been diagnosed with arthritis. This drug I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy!

06 Aug 2015 Hi, Im Paul and I have been using Crestor for High Cholesterol for six months. At first, I had some fairly uncomfortable muscle pains and spasms, but they have subsided since I started taking generic crestor instead. (I dont know why this is) so I buy generic crestor online and Ive not had the muscle spasms as bad since. I order it from here, if anyone can tell me why I may be having less of a problem http://canadapharmacyrx.com/generic-crestor.html

07 Jan 2015 Approximately four months ago, and three weeks before he retired, my doctor changed my medication from Co Tareg 160/25 and Lipanthyl 67, which I had been taking for approximately 12 years, to Exforge 160/25 and Crestor 5, because recent blood tests had indicated increased Creatinine levels. However, I have since suffered some unpleasant side effects and a blood test one month ago showed my Creatinine levels had continued to increase (now around 50% higher than the accepted maximum level)!. Crestor may not be the cause of the side effects as, I understand that, Exforge is a combination of drugs, including Amlodipine. A drug which is reputed to cause some severe side effects for many people. I have yet to discuss these problems with another doctor.

18 Jun 2012 First week I noticed weakness in leg muscles, bloating, and swelling in knee joints. Second week the neck pain started and became so painful it was difficult to hold up head and sleeping not any better. Third week I was noticing large bruises or more precise bleeding under skin and cuts would not clot. Took 2 weeks for a small cut to stop bleeding and 3 weeks for it to form a scab. Taking CoQ 10 was supposed to help with the muscle pain; all it did was give me diarrhea and insomnia.
