16 Feb 2010 When I began to use cymbalta I noticed dizziness, rapid heartbeat, increased bloodpressure, however fibro pain seemed quite improved as well as energy. Difficult to sleep. I deal with long term chronic pain (1980) fibro diagnosis, arthritis, lymphedema & lipidema. I wanted to "believe". Became Zombie like. Memory loss severe as well as cognitive abilities. Several side effects however nothing compared to when I went off of it in Nov 2009 after 5 yrs. Pure Hell! It's been 3 months and b/p is way down. Starting to feel emotions. Withdrawel unbelieveable. Blessed to have husband & family to stick with me. I could'nt stop crying fits for over two months. Don't start this drug. A hospital pharmacist told my daughter it can stay in your brain for months.

16 Feb 2010 Cymbalta has been the best medication for my panic attacks and depression. I have tried Paxil, Lexapro, Effexor, and Pristiq before Cymbalta, and had to stop them all for one reason or another. Cymbalta has the best mix of efficacy and tolerability for me. Each person is different. Do not listen to reviews like these; you must try the drugs for yourself. Just because one person has a bad experience does not mean you will as well. Everyone seems to love Lexapro, but it didn't work at all for me. Cymbalta has changed my life.

07 Jan 2010 I finished taking my last dose the day after christmas 2009. I felt fine until it was actually time to take the next scheduled dose. That is when my life had begun to change. I didn't realize how numb I felt until until a few days later. Since then I have been experiencing disorientation of where I am at and what I am doing, pain and pressure in my ears, my head feels like it is swimming, can't fully concentrate on what I am working on, not wanting to be around a lot of people, extreme nausea, eating till I couldn't eat anymore and the list goes on. I am really scared of all of this... I find that I am a happier person and want to do more... Much more than I could before. I do not feel depressed which is a really good thing... Now all I need is my energy back and I will have a licked. While I was on the cymbalta, I had absolutely no energy and I was extremely tired all the time. I find that I am difficult to deal with at times but I try to control it without pissing anyone off. I have read on the internet of what other people said that this drug is doing to them and it scares the crap out of me. Especially since, this was not mentioned when I was prescribed the medication. I am not even sure the doctors even know about this. I just want to feel normal again. I feel this has taken control of my life and I want the control back...

16 Feb 2010 Everyone responds differently to medications. Cymbalta has done wonders for me, and is the most tolerable medicine I've ever taken. There are absolutely no lasting effects of Cymbalta once you stop taking it by the way. It sounds like you have some other issues causing these problems, not the medicine.
