02 Jul 2010 My depression and anxiety are much better. I haven't gained any weight as with other antidepressants. When I get aggitated or angry at something I can't seem to remain calm. I can't seem to control myself too well in these situations. I'm going to discuss this at my next Dr's Visit.

06 May 2010 I have been on cymbolta for years. I am tired of gaining weight and not being able to get rid of it. (no matter what I do) my friend told me her meds. made her metabolism slow down Cymbalta doesn't have a side effect of weight gain but I wondered since i have been on C for so long maybe it is effecting me. My sister went off C and she said the weight just dropped off her. I have never struggled with weight gain in my life. I hate it. I am scared of getting off c for all the hype I hear of how hard it is and my sister said it was hell. I don't know I don't know if there is another drug out there that can help me, cause I need something I'm mean, when I don't have my meds. I don't even like myself

08 Jun 2010 I would talk to your doctor about Lexapro. I tried cymbalta for a few months and had really bad side effects. I did gain a few pounds but it wasnt very noticeable. The main problem I had was that it made me very lethargic and I could barely function on a day to day basis. I am taking Lexapro now and I love it. I have had no side effects whatsoever and if anything it has curbed my appetite.
