05 Mar 2012 I feel like an outcast. I can't even walk without my feet feeling like razors. Everything goes numb. Hands tingling. I even have a stutter. It gets worse when I have a Headache. I have lost 12 pounds in 2 weeks. Lack of want for food. I am taking amulti vitamin That is helping along with 3 other medications. This just happened. I am 30. Healthy and strong until now. Now I have glasses and increased intracranial pressure From something in my spine. They haven't really gave me all the answers. I guess this medicine is better than alternatives if you are strong minded enough To get passed all the side effects.

06 Mar 2012 See that's just it. I am a whole foods kind of person. No salt. Other spices. Raw fruits and veggies. Lots of bananas and I love v8. I had a two week stay in the hospital. Because of seizures Due to this. They were giving me potassium and magnesium. So my question is Do you know of any alternatives to this medicine? If so I would really like to know. I don't want to take this stuff 2 years from now. Due to increased spinal fluid from my spine.

05 Mar 2012 For tingliness watch two things: 1. That you are drinking enough water, and 2. That you have enough potassium (think OJ, bananas, V8 juice, almond milk) and if it continues you may have to take a potassium supplement (prescription only!). I'm on one. Diamox can be a saving grace for some, but hell for others. Keep an eye on your side effects and feel better. You are not alone. I'm having a bit of pain right now. Check out dailystrength.org - they have an awesome support group under the title "pseudotumor cerebri" that helped me a lot when I was 1st diagnosed (2009).

10 Jul 2010 So far after taking just 3 doses I do not really like the medication. It makes me feel really strange. I get dizzy and lightheaded. I take this drug because I have pressure headaches (idiopathic intercranial hypertension) I have had this condition before when I was a teenager and now as an adult I have it again. Hope this drug works have been dealing with this since Feb of 210 and it is now July.

26 Jun 2010 Taking diamox for IIH. Along with the diamox and losing weight, my eye pressure has gone down and my field vision is better, still have a blurry spot in vision due to nerve damage. Swollen eye disc has reduced and no hemmoraging now in optic nerves. I have experienced mild to severe tingling and stabbing pains in hands/feet and now taking Potassium pill, since I'm pre-diabetic and can't eat a banana each day as recommended by Dr. Potassium levels look good and the direction is one of healing. I'm experiencing severe leg cramps at night. Not sure what to do for these as they are really, really bad. We've had severe heat (110 heat index & humidity) and not drinking enough water could possibly be an issue? I'm working on that! Anyone have suggestions on what to do about leg cramps?
