125mg in 4 capsules a day was the prescription, starting with 25grm the first week and week by week, until the full prescription dose was reached. Although the very severe anxiety abated immediately, and the long standing insomnia improved, the overall daily effect by week two was a very. very profound apathy...it escalated into what I called " the Zombie effect". So (without advice) I gradually cut back to 25 grm. THE anxiety has not returned but in order to sleep at all, I have been supplementing with 2 mg. Diazepam, both at night. More or less o.k., apart from morning tremors ,extra dry mouth .mild headaches and forgetfulness...am 68 yrs. severe Emphysema. (low B.M.I. also)

i had tried several of the new antidepressants..prozac citalopram etc but had flushing burning symptoms and developed severe symptoms of polyneuropathy.Had taken this old style AD in the past so my GP decided to give it a go and had no side rffects whatsoever and have never looked back

Had a breakdown from a family event and first put on Diazepam and 25mg Doselupin.Was getting addicted to Diazepam so transferred to Prozac..terrible side-effects of neuropathy.Changed to Citalopram..same side effects so in desperation my Gp put me back on Doselupin as I'd had it before many years ago for post-natal depression and haven't looked back since..few side-effects and a good nights sleep.I've now been on iit for 15 months and am considering whether to reduce the dose..but will be interested to see if the neuropathy symptoms return if I go off it completely as Doselupin is given to treat that too so it might be masking the symptoms of neuropathy suffered when I was on the SSRI Prozac/Fluoxitine.
