21 Jan 2012 I have been pleased with the way Endur-Acin is controlling my cholesterol along with a 40mg dose of pravastatin. I have had no side effects except for very ocassional flushing and itching which usually subsides within 30 minutes. I also like the fact that it is very affordable as I do not have prescription drug insurance.

30 Nov 2010 I was taking pravastatin 40 mg alone and my total chol. was 200, triglycerides 95, HDL 55, LDL126, & LDL particle count was 1770. After adding Endur-acin for 3 months my total chol. was 168, triglyderides 82, HDL 72, LDL 80, a & LDL particle count was 966. I take 2 500mg Endur-acin with my pravistatin after eating my evening meal and have never had any side effects. The only side effect I have suffered in twice when I took this medication long after eating. Then I experienced itching on my chest and arms for about 30 minutes. So now I make sure to take the medication right after I eat. I am very pleased with the results I've had and am hopeful that I will be able to discontinue the pravastatin in the future. I would recommend this product to any one taking Niaspan who have having side effects and have recommened it.

07 Oct 2010 I was prescriped Niaspan, but since I do not have drug insurance, the cost was prohibitive. I searched the web for a lower cost niacin and decided to try the Endur-acin because it was also extended release, came in 500mg doses, the cost for 500 tablets was $42.00, and other user comments made me feel it would be just as good. I have taken 2 500mg tablets per day along with pravastatin 40mg for the past 3 months. It lowered total from 200 to 168, triglycerides from 95 to 82, & LDL from 126 to 80 and raised HDL from 55 to 72. It was prescribed primarily to lower LDL particle # which it did from1770 to 966. I have had very minor side effects--itching arms and neck--but only when I've taken it before eating. Endur-acin has been very effective and I highly recommend it.
