30 Jan 2012 I took Esipram for about 4 months but lost my job & things went further downhill so i stopped almost cold turkey. I felt that all they were doing is making me impotent, as I am always highly sexual but felt no desire at all after taking Esipram. Also, since I have stopped (5 days now) I have been having AWFUL disturbing dreams at night, one of them being that I shot my pregnant sister in the stomach then in the head... just stuff you'd never think about & I'm not a violent person at all. Basically Esipram did take the edge off the depression but I'd rather be depressed than not have any sexual urges, and I can surely do without the nightmares at night! Another thing I am feeling this strange dizziness as well after coming off them. I know it should've been gradual but was basically sick of my crap life and told my Doc I didn't want them anymore. I don't want to go to sleep tonight knowing I'll dream some terrible stuff again... My best way to ease depression is to be with people you love to be with - the friends that make you laugh, and listen to the music that makes you happy. Stay away from people u don't like and situations you don't want to be in (eg. large crowds etc, if u have anxiety as well).

27 Feb 2011 Esipram has worked for me. Two months ago I started taking a generic brand and within 4 weeks all the symptoms of depression had returned. It was very scary.

27 Feb 2011 I am only one tablet a day. I took an overdose of Prothiedin , ended up in hospital, wasn't kept in as a patient. I have since being seeing a Phycoligist once weekly and find I am not so down all the time, like before.

27 Sep 2011 I have been taking esipram now for 1 month and can say it has helped me tremendously. I take 10mg a day i the morning. It only took 5 days before i felt the anxiety decrease and my moods lifted. not sure the time period i wil stay on them for but for now my life is so much better because of them. I was always against anti depressents always considered myself mentally strong, we all have our breaking points i have experienced mine, and now i am rebuilding my mental health day by day.

13 Nov 2010 you will not see any change for the first 4/6 week, a part from nausea I actually started at the end of August for 4 weeks, then stopped for 10 days, than another month, then 10 days off and I noticed that when I do not take it i have horrible nightmare before i fall asleep. I have started today again and i will see if i get better... good luck!
