User Comments about Humira
05 May 2011 Humira saved me at first. Although it seems to be failing now I will stick with it until it fails completely. None of the biologicals can promise to work and keep on working. In fact they can't even tell you when and if it'll stop working....could be tomorrow, next week, next month, or next year. Maybe it won't completely stop working. This is the disease of uncertainty, Rheumatoid Arthritis, official dream stealer.

23 Aug 2010 Since starting Humira in April, my Crohn's symptoms are minimal to almost non-existent. I was getting regular flares and ended up in the hospital once due to a bad reaction to Azithiaprin. I know that every medication has some type of a side effect, so I am trying to just accept the problems I have with Humira. I have gained approx. 10 lbs. and seem to have a huge appetite! I can live with that and make dietary changes, but the most troubling thing is the extreme muscle pain. I first thought I had pulled something while doing spring cleaning in May. I guess I can only describe it as a "sciatica-like" pain. Pain ran from the left lower back, through the buttocks, down the leg and into the foot. There is pain, tingling, cramping.........it was pretty constant. The problem seemed to lessen over a three month period of time and I thought that was that. However, about three weeks ago, I began having the same (although not quite as severe) pain on the right side. Same pattern, lower back/buttocks, right into the foot. I have finally come to assumption that this is a Humira related side effect. I have read a bit on line about it and this type of leg pain can be a side effect. I contacted my doctor, but never got a return call. The only call I received from her office was from a nurse who said that I should go to a "rheumetologist".......... I read on line somewhere that CoQ10 could be helpful in easing this type of Humira side effect. I'll give it a try! I know that getting off Humira won't be an option. If anyone has a similar story or maybe a suggestion as to how to deal with this pain, I would be very thankful to hear from them!
