13 Jul 2011 Imuran has been a drug that has helped my condition, but it has made daily living somewhat difficult. It keeps me sick, I have had a loss of hair, can't sleep at times and have had moments of depression.

18 Mar 2009 The initial hair loss was much more than I expected - probably half my hair if I judged by the thickness of my ponytail and lasted longer than expected probably 9 months from the start of my taking it. I didn't notice it too much for the first 4-5 months but I was also taking prednisone then. After I stopped the prednisone about 6 months in with the Imuran the hair loss became pronounced. It stopped and has now all grown back. I take it for auto-immune hepatitis and multiple sclerosis. It seems to be better for my MS than the interferons were. I have less residual MS symptoms than I did with Avonex. Oh and something no one tells you - it turns you urine a strange color right after dosage - green/yellow like gatoraide. Since watching urine color is a big deal with AIH, this was something I had to learn to gauge.
