I've tried taking this twice now. Once during the month of July and once the following January. The reason I stop each time is because I feel awful. Bloated, tired, and headaches that will not go away. I gained weight each time, and my boobs got much bigger =( [not good for me!] The worst symptom was the nausea which was constant to the point of taking tums, pepto bismol , peppermint tea etc.

When I switched to Microgestin I started getting extreme dry mouth, especially at night time when laying down. I will wake up in the middle of the night and my mouth/gums will be completely dry to the point where I can't make my own saliva. Also, I've gained a lot of weight since taking it. About 10 lbs which doesn't seem to be easy to lose. I work out a few days a week and eat pretty healthy like more veggies and less meat. My mood swings were worse when I first started taking it but now I seem to have them less frequently. I think I'm going to switch in a month because I really would like to lose weight.

Microgestin has been a miracle for me! It has been a life savior for me and has saved my life many times. I get my period every same Tuesday after I finish my pills and it's amazing that I can predict when I will have my period. On the downside, sometimes I do feel nausea like i'm going to puke, but that's usually when I first start taking my pills again after my period. Other then that it has definitely protected me against unprotected sex and pregnancies.
