03 Oct 2011 I tried mirtazapine for sleep and it helped but I gained weight so I stopped using it and tried other drugs. Now I have gone back to mirtazapine. Didn't like any other drug I tried.

04 Jul 2011 I simply do not know how effect the drug may be beyond assisting me to sleep for longer periods at a single cycle.

14 Jun 2011 I am finding mirtazapine useful for my depressive illness but am concerned about the side effects. I don't want to be taken off the mirtazapine so I don't really want to tell my GP although my pain is getting worse so I might have to discuss this with my doctor. My heels (tendons) are so painful, my calves and my hands. I have come out in acne and I am very stiff, finding it difficult to walk. On a positive note, the 45mg of mirtazapine that I take in a single dose at night gets me to sleep quickly. I still wake up at 5-6am, but I feel that I have had a good rested nights sleep.
