The generic name of this medication is bacitracin/neomycin/polymyxin and brand names are Lanabiotic and Neosporin.

Neosporin is manufactured by Johnson & Johnson Co.,

The active ingredients of this medication are Neomycin; Polymyxin B Sulfate; Bacitracin Zinc. The inacative ingredients include base of cocoa butter; cottonseed oil; olive oil; sodium pyruvate; and tocopheryl acetate.

It is primarily used in the treatment and prevention of infections caused due to minor cuts; scrapes; and burns.

17 Nov 2013 I have lichen planus on the tops of my feet, hands, and vaginal. I was using cortisone creams with no change, so I started using original Neosporin and the ones on my feet and hands are almost gone, and the vaginal lichen planus that had horrible itching and burning is GONE!
