19 Feb 2012 A study of TBI Patients needs to be done as this has proved to be the most effective Drug prescribed to me so far and has made a remarkable contrabution to my condition So far; But the BWC (Workers Comp) denied the medication as not a traditional nor recognized Drug for TBI managment or treatment; As they have "Independent" Doctors whom will say whatever appeals to the Beauru and Employer for a few bucks since the Oxycodone Scripting buisness has went South. I had to fight 4 months for approval as the Study was not available regarding TBI/Fatigue issues; Because the (Employer) has more input than the Top Brain Injury Doctor in the U.S. or The Lord GOD himself in deciding treatment options; Now taking it and it is a mirracle Drug in my situation compared to all the previous medications.

18 Feb 2012 I am a 27 year old Female and have been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue due to Lupus and Epstein Barr Virus and adult ADHD. For weeks at a time I could sleep up to 18 hours a day and sometimes even displayed symptoms of narcolepsy. The doctor and psychiatrist have worked together on treatments, experimenting with many in the past year to get me up and going. First, they tried Concerta, which caused me to feel suicidal for a few hours a day. The psychiatrist quickly changed my medication to Vyvanse , which seemed to be working and aside from the severe crash after 4 hours, he had to keep increasing my dose, until it no longer was an option to stay on. While on Vyvanse, I had a job but as soon as the doctor switched me to Focalin XR, I could no longer stay awake or concentrate the way I had on Vyvanse, so I was forced to quit my job because of excessive sleepiness. The Psychiatrist took me off Focalin after about two months without weening me from the meds and I took a step backwards, nearly falling asleep while driving, sitting in the waiting room or just about every time I sat down. I was so tired that I felt depressed because I couldn't imagine leading a normal life feeling this way. I was so weak, i could barely go 3 hours without falling back into a deep sleep. Last week the Psychiatrist finally prescribed me nuvigil and advised me to break the 250 mg tablet in half and take one in the morning and one in the afternoon. I have taken in about 7 days now and I have not had to break this in half because it lasts all day and it is not even a controlled or extended release. The wakefulness feels natural and the only side effect I have seen so far is a decrease in appetite and slight trembling of my arms. I have yet to experience any truly horrible side effects that other people describe. This drug is amazing and trust me, I have had my share of bad experiences with stimulant drugs.

17 Jan 2012 At one point I thought I had depression, but found that it was simply a lack of proper sleeping patterns. Nuvigil has helped me through to my crazy sleep patterns. I now feel refreshed through the day and all is well.

30 Nov 2011 I suffer TBI it was perscribed for that but BWC wont pay for it now as they had their quack turn it down as being a drug appropriate to treat TBI.
