I had some gastric problems while using this drug, in combination with the NORCOs, I could not tolerate it anymore and pulled myself off it after 9 days. Liver function somewhat impaired, could tell by the pale stools. Severely constipated and feverish. As far as the effectiveness of the NSAID, it did appreciably help with swelling and pain of the surgical site while using it.

Piroxicam relieved my joint pain, but caused me gastric pain and incresed susceptibility to infection.

Three years ago, I began taking Piroxicam for my arthritis. Upon taking it I was unaware of the horrible side effects. The medication helped my pain and i was very satisified, although I now suffer from gum disease, bacterial infection, gum bleeding, and buss filled pockets in my mouth. I've paid over 2000 dollars in dental pills to repair the damage the medication has caused me.

About Piroxicam
Piroxicam (marketed in the U.S. under the trade name Feldene) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug used to relieve the symptoms of rheumatoid and osteoarthritis, primary dysmenorrhoea, postoperative pain; and act as an analgesic, especially where there is an inflammatory component. It is also used in veterinary medicine to treat certain neoplasias expressing cyclooxygenase (COX) receptors, such as bladder, colon, and prostate cancers.
