After everything failed to treat my Ulcerative Colitis flare that the doc almost had to take my colun out (taking X-ray everyday just to check my gut had not perforated), and became worse after steroid was reduced from 40 to 30, this medication put me in remission, but not before I was infected with the Cytomegarovirus, for which the doc put anti-viral med. to remove it from my system. Because I had Cytomegarovirus my ulcer was so bad. It gave me a remission but the doc should ask me if I want the surgery or not, and I dont want the doc to put me on med til rest of my life. I would rather have Ostomy or J-pouch surgery instead. The med gave me a chance to visit another specialized hospital where I can get Ostomy or J-pouch since I dont have to have the emergency operation. For UC suffer it is best to ask Ostomy/J-pouch surgery than being put on med till rest of my life putting me on risk on other complications such as kidney damage, which is more damaging than if I was to lose my big intestine.
