Rituxan is the latest in a long list of drugs. Usually, new medications work for a period of several years, then stop working. The latest attempt was Actemra (with methotrexate)--no response. However, Ritixuan worked a bit after the first two doses. Then, six months later, I had the second round. The response was fantastic. I had much better joint pain relief and a lot more energy. Much More!! The great relief lasted about 8 months. Then, it slowly waned. At one year, I had the next two doses. That was two weeks ago.

I've tried many other intravenous drugs for my rheumatoid arthritis and this was the least effective. I have since been changed to Cimza but have not taken first shot yet.
