Seasonique is Manufactured by Duramed Pharmaceuticals Inc.
The active ingredients of this medication are levonorgestrel and ethinylestradiol.
Mainly used in Preventing pregnancy.

15 Feb 2012 I have noticed major improvement in everything. I was having Pmdd and terrible periods with tons of problems. But starting seasonique has helped with everything.

29 Dec 2011 The reason I went on this was to help regulate my hormones so that I would have less highs and lows. For the first three months I had BTB all of the time. I have gained so much weight...almost 12 pounds since starting this with no change in my eating habits. That is very depressing. On the start of the fourth month I actually felt good for the first 45 days or so of taking the pills. But then the breakthrough bleeding would occur with such a severe headache that lasted 2-4 days. I just got over the headaches and am going to stop taking this all together. It is just not worth losing that many days of your life.

28 Dec 2011 My gyn thought this might help with the excessive bleeding, passing of clots and pain. Although I don't bleed for 21 days out of a month, when I do it basically lands me in bed, without strength to even hold myself up from the massive cramps resulting from my body attempting to expel the clots. My mood is horrible, the pain just doesn't go away and ranges from moderate to severe, accompanied by nausea and dizzyness, my sex drive is nowhere to be found. I have palpitations frequently, I have found that my blood pressure goes up and up whenever I have the most severe cramps, and at some point I had symptoms as those of a mild heart attack. All this is seriously affecting my daily activities. I am now finishing the 6th month without any improvement, and my appointment was cancelled 2 months ago and I haven't been rescheduled to go back. I'm very disappointed with my doctor's "efforts", or lack thereof, and my hopes in this pill for some improvement.

11 Nov 2011 I used Seasonale for about 3 years, switched to OrthoTriCycline for about 3 years, and then recently my doctor switched me to Seasonique since I did so well on the Seasonale before and it is a similar drug. I took the drug for 7 weeks until I had to stop. I bled constantly for the last 4 weeks. I gained 10 lbs. I was also severely depressed to the point of stopping interaction with my friends and my performance decreasing at work. I have never reacted that badly to a medication before, and once I realized what was causing it. I immediately stopped taking it and after a week I felt so much better. I called my doctor and requested a new pill after telling him how it affected me. He has now prescribed Reclipsen and honestly I am a bit afraid to start it after reading the user reviews. I know I should give it a shot, but who knows?
