19 Oct 2012

Have been on Simponi since late July(3 injections) . Was pain-free within 2 days. Was also taking leflunimide and small doses of prednisone. Worked well until about 3 days before last injection, pain and stiffness returned. Again pain-free within 24 hours after injection. Worked well for about 3 weeks then faded fast, RA came back with a vengeance. Anxious to get relief with next injection!

I stopped taking Simponi because my new ins wouldnt cover it. I was put in humira which was a lot better.

I don't feel simponi helps me as much as remicade did, but it is better than humira. I was also not taking anything for my AS for about 8 months and when I started the simponi I was in a horrible flare up. I've only been on simponi for 2 months now so it may need more time to reach the full potential.

I had to stop using Simponi, because the insurance changed and it wasn't covered by the new insurance. They told me to use Humira, which I was a little hesitant about taking, and it worked better than Simponi and Celebrex. So, now I'm on Humira and Mobic 7.5mg and I'm doing great. NO fare-ups. Plus, whenever it was time for me to start taking Simponi again, it just seemed as though the RA was coming back with a vengeance. I was feeling worst than before I started taking Simponi. Humira, is twice a month, but I'm doing great with it!

Did work well for the first two months, then I had a flare and it seemed to stop working. Dont get hungry at all and when I do eat its about 1/4 of what I would normally eat before Simponi. And the heartburn is constant and driving me nuts.
