I have not needed anything for pain beyond acetaminophen until I started having gall bladder attacks two months ago. One or two Tramacet 37.5 mg reduce the pain to a very tolerable level but I feel very dopey, yet so wide awake I can't stay asleep for more than about 10 minutes. My Fitbit says I was awake 2x for 5 minutes and restless 46x for 79 minutes total last night but I felt even more restless than that.

I have been on Tramacet for almost 2 years ... on and off for 4 years. I still have the fast heart rate, keep getting headaches and recently suicidal. I talked to my doctor and he is NOT concerned! WOW ...I can honestly say this drug as a long term is a NO! Horrible. Trying to get off it but having a hard time with the depression, suicidal thoughts. My pain is bad even on it so there is no sense in being on it with all the side effects and the cost - one of the most expensive and i have no coverage. I would not take this drug long term or advise anyone to ... I just hope I can get off it!

It took quite a few months to get used to the medication. I really dislike the breakthru pain. and side effects from taking Paxil and Amitriptylene. I came down by 5mg every 2 weeks. I'm down to 5 mg of Paxil now, from 40 mg. I also dislike the fatigue and nausea and weakness.

It is helping me to work 4-6 hours a day. Waiting for my doctor to comment on the fast, pounding heart rate ... that is scary. It is a Morphine family drug and I am allergic to Morphine. However, T3's with Cod - I have no reaction to but many side effects and can't work - too tired!
