18 Dec 2021 The doctor prescribed Tramadol for traumatic injury and damage to the spinal cord and to ease leg spasms. It has been quite effective. It is only taken when there is an honest need. There are days there is no need to consume any. For me, it is not the least addictive. OTCs are not effective for this condition. I am very active daily. When the activity is extensive is when Tramadol is needed. The pain and spasms are brought under control within minutes. The doctor is quite aware of my condition and is kept apprised of the effectiveness especially with the twice a year checkups.

02 Mar 2014 Tramadol does help tremendously with my pain but the side effects are horrible. I have terrible cramps and after several other medicines, this one actually worked. I still use a heating pad. My appetite is completely gone! I don't want to eat anything (but of course I have to). I vomit, have constipation or diarrhea, dizzy and can barely walk (partially due to cramping anyways), and very drowsy. All I do is sleep when I'm taking this medicine. I love sleep but at the same time, I don't like being the student in the front of the class passed out while my professor is staring at me. My day usually goes like this: Wake up, go to restroom, eat/take med, turn the tv on, turn my heating pad on, text my parents i'm feeling horrible, go to sleep and it repeats in this exact cycle for about 3 days. Overall I like it because eventually I stop feeling the cramps but it makes me so weak and slow to where I can barely hold for myself.

06 Sep 2012 Having 5 Herniated Disc in my neck & 1 bulging disc in my lower back causes chronic pain. Plus I have arthritis in my spine.Tramadol takes the edge off & enables me to function. I don't want to take stronger drugs like Percocet or OxyContin. Yes, tramadol makes me drowsy & it is addictive but I can't take anything less. Motrin,excedrin & other over the counter drugs don't work at all!
