The generic name of this medication is acetaminophen and the brand name is Tylenol.

Other brand names are Aspirin Free Anacin.

The active ingredients of this medication are acetaminophen; chlorpheniramine maleate.

It is primarily used to provide pain relief caused due to simple headaches and muscle aches.

This drug is manufactured by McNeil Consumer Brands, Inc.

Common Uses:

This medication is used to treat minor aches and pains due to:
Arthritis;
Backache;
Common cold;
Flu;
Headache;
Immunizations;
Menstrual cramps;
Muscle ache;
Toothache.

Off Label Uses:

None noted currently.

Side Effects:
Appetite loss;
Coma;
Diarrhea;
Heart conditions;
Hepatic failure;
Irritability;
Nausea;
Renal failure;
Seizures;
Sweating;
Vomiting;
Yellow eyes or skin.

Cautions / Warnings:

Not advisable in people with:
Hepatic conditions like cirrhosis; liver failure; Hepatitis etc.
G6PD deficiency;
Allergic reactions to this medication or any of its ingredients or any other allergies; including allergies to food; dyes or preservatives.

Anti-seizure medications like carbamazepine; phenobarbital; phenytoin;
Chlorpromazine;
Isoniazid;
Phenothiazines;
Warfarin.
