I was given this prior to my back surgery. I dont remember any of the surgery and I didnt feel anything during the surgery.

I was forced to take this drug for a colonoscopy after I vehemently told the Dr that I didn't want it and to use a painkiller and not an amnesiac. He told me he knew best and just used Versed. I have IBS, I was wide awake in excrutiating pain, tears were running down my face and I tried to scream that I felt like a weedwhacker was turned on inside of me, but I was totally paralized!!! I could feel the tears, and I tried to reach out, I tried to scream but I was unable to. You want to talk about midevil torture, this was like being put in a Iron Maiden. I've told everyone I know not to let anyone give them Versed for anything. The doctor lied to me and told me it was a pain killer....Versed has NO pain killing properties at all. It is supposed to cause amnesia....I can't believe the medical profession would use this drug w/o a painkiller or for all at that matter. I've never had a worse experience in my life, I wear a medic alert bracelet, and have on all of my health records that I'm allergic to this poison. I never want to be given this again, nor I will I allow it to be given to anyone in my family. Whoever approved this drug for use should have to go through what I went through.

don't ever let a dr or dentist give you this drug. it totally ruined my life. I haven't been the same person for 19 years now. I wouldn't even let the vet use this on my dog when she was spayed. This drug never should have been approved by the FDA, it's dangerous!!!
