The generic name of this medication is acetaminophen/phenylephrine and brand name is Excedrin Sinus Headache and Vicks DayQuil Sinus.

The active ingredient of this medication is dextromethorphan hbr 15 mg.

Vicks DayQuil is manufactured by Procter & Gamble.

Mainly used in relieving symptoms such as pain and sinus congestion due to colds, upper respiratory tract infections and allergies.

26 Feb 2014 Took this drug for a cold, within 1 hr of taking the recommended adult dose my skin became itchy and I had hives all over my legs, arms, abdomen, back. The hives were itchy and continued to get worse for about 1 hour and then went away. Will not take this again.

19 Nov 2012 When I do take this medication, I only take half the recommended dose. Even then, I notice an increase in anxiety and have had vision problems like double vision or "blind spots" that I never have with or without any other medication. While the product does what it advertises, I cannot justify taking it because of the side effects.

02 Jan 2012 This medication works well to alleviate my sore throat and congestion when I have a cold. It gives me a little more energy. It does give me a little indigestion. The taste is not the best

25 Nov 2011 Capsules are difficult to swallow, few capsules come in an expensive package, does work well to relieve symptoms though lost effectiveness over time.
