This pill has given me nothing but problems from the start. During the first few months I experienced weight gain, very sore breasts, mood swings, and worst of all hair loss. I would lose large clumps in the shower everyday. Also my periods were completely erratic. I was more regular when I was on no birth control. i have no energy if i dont take it exactly at the same time everyday - i start to get angry, irritated, emotional... i start to feel rage - i cant control it. it gets worse and worse the longer i forget... i usually snap on my boss or break up with my boyfriend for no reason if i forget to take it in a 24 or 48 hour period.

It worked for me. I had cystic acne on my back, chest, neck, face and after years of dealing with it I saw a dermatologist and he perscribed this. I had dry skin while on the drug but DUH! If you do any research about the drug it permanently changes your oil glands in your skin. I have noticed a slight chap lip years after I have taken it but no other side effects I have related to my accutane treatment. I was getting worse and worse over the years, finding myself angry all the time and depressed and having suicidal thoughts. I tried a lot of excercie (essential if you are depressed) and St Johns Wort. The St Johns Wort helped a little bit., but not much. I went to the doctor and started taking Zoloft 50mg. I am having problems with swelling, rash, dizziness and left hip pain. I can't walk for more than 5-10 minutes before it feels like something is trying to rip my hip joint apart.. This pain didn't start until I had been on Benicar for about a week. ( I had tried another BP med and had swelling in both legs to the point of not being able to walk)
