The active ingredient of this medication is diphenhydramine hydrochloride.

This medication is used to treat sneezing, runny nose, itching, watery eyes, hives, rashes, itching and other symptoms of allergies and the common cold.

17 Apr 2012 Benadryl works for allergies or a mild cold or flu, but never when symptoms are more severe. I use it usually for my allergies and it is currently working well.

20 Jan 2012 I rarely take Benedryl- but when I do, it works well. It helps a rash go away faster, and is less itchy.
