Hemorrhoids treatment

Description
Inflammation of the veins located around the anus or rectum area is referred to as hemorrhoids. It is extremely similar to varicose vein the only difference being hemorrhoids occur in the rectum. There are two kinds of hemorrhoids, one which occurs inside the rectum; referred to as internal hemorrhoids and those that are located outside the rectum and are referred to as external hemorrhoids.
Causes

Common Symptoms
A single lump or more than one lump sticking out of the rectum that is often painful to touch is a sign of hemorrhoids; blood that is bright red in color on toilet paper or toilet bowl is an indication of hemorrhoids; burning and itching associated with pain especially in the area; swelling or enlargement of the area surrounding the rectum from the outside;
Rare Symptoms
Mucus-like discharge from the rectum; feeling of rectal fullness accompanied with a sense of incomplete defecation; severe and intolerable pain in the rectal area, especially when the vein gets strangulated.
Traditional Treatment
Home treatment includes warm baths; ice packs; and Sitz bath. Hydrocortisone rectal ointment is available under various brand names like Anusert HC-1; Anusol-HC; Proctocort; Proctocream-HC; and Proctosol HC.
