Side effects only lasted for the first week or so since then it's like I'm not even taking anything except for the fact I don't have panic attacks anymore. I consider Lexapro a wonder drug and wish I had started on it earlier.

How did it go with the gyno? There was some evidence in the trials that women who already had HPV when they got the Gardasil shot had a very significantly higher risk of developing cervical cancer. Merck shuffled the trial data to make the numbers go away - I'm sure some of the 're-dos' were legitimate, but hmmm - and got the increased risk down to where the FDA would approve it although they expressed concern. I went to the hospital and the doctor perscribed this to me. When I started taking it, I felt much worse than before. My chest was heavy and I was in a lot of discomfort.

I've been on Pristiq since the end of March. The negatives..the nausea was a beast the first few weeks but not intolerable. I don't sleep as well at night but its not to the point of insommnia. The positive, I am much more even, not nearly as irritable, etc. Still have some anxiety but its also better. I have lost over 10 lbs. I have no desire for sweets (which I ate everyday) or alcohol (which I drank very little of anyway - maybe 1-2 drinks a month if that). My libido isn't there but it has... View full comment
