I was prescribed Lupron to stop my periods, which were always painful with heavy bleeding. Since I was in treatment for early stage breast cancer, it was also recommended to control the estrogen, which helped to produce my tumour. I had had two 1-month shots and I am never taking this drug again. I can stand the hot flashes, the exessiuve sleepiness in my case and the feeling of weakness in the muscles. I was diagnosed with a stomach virus and was prescribed this by my doctor. So far, I have had no real complaints besides the slight dizziness and the pain in the stomach. It helped my nausea, but I wouldn't go so far as to say it really worked that well overall.

I have been using Depo-Provera for about 5 years, and the experience for me has had pros and cons. While growing up I had very painful periods, and one year when I went in for an annual checkup the doctor had discovered a cyst on my ovary.
