I have had the Mirena for well over 6 or 7 years (I'm on my second one). During this time, my acne has been difficult to control - especially on my back and chest. Was on Ortho tri Cyclen Lo before my pharmacy and insurance company switched me to this generic brand. I experienced a serious decrease in sex drive, which continues to this day. Besides that, the price is much better, and my menstraul cycles are scheduled to the day and time. I did not notice any significant weight gain or loss from this pill. It's worth trying, but if your libido changes as mine did, seek medical attention as soon as possible.

I started off taking Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo and then the price of that birth control sky rocketed. I just started taking Ortho Tri-Cyclen (generic) and I do not even have one full month in. The first week was really rough during the transfer from Lo to normal Ortho. I had a lot of headaches and nausea.
