Concerta was the first ADHD medication I ever took. I took it for about a year, and during that time it worked very well. I would say that it is one of the best medications I have ever taken for ADHD. As I continued to take it, I noticed that it wasn’t working as well for me. I felt extremely unfocused, almost as if I constantly had a blank stare. I also began to get very dizzy and walking from one class to another was sometimes very difficult.

Adjusting to the side effects was very difficult for the first year and a half but the worse symptoms (diarrhea and fatigu. ) have abated a lot in the past year . The drug is completely controlling my disease, CML and I am very happy with it.

I went from a healthy weight of 140 (normal for my size) to 180 in less than 2 months. It came from nowhere, no changes in diet were made to have effected the weight gain. I was exercising a couple times a week, I have gained and lost weight throughout my life, but never in a quick amount of time. I did not find this drug to be effective in treating my hurtburn as a matter of fact it upset my stomach and i had to ask my doctor to prescribe me something else.
