I quit Lipitor almost 3 years ago. I was very close to not being able to work and had already had to give up all social contacts, was afraid to drive anymore and less than a year away from being on disability and not know WHY! I had been taking Zyrtec for about 5 years and before that was taking an older form of Allegra. As many allergy sufferers know, these and all allergy medications only work for a short amount of time before your body becomes immune to the effects. I can honestly say after three months of Xyzal, I have been symptom free since day one. The worst idea ever. I never even wanted the shot. The first shot I took for my mom but the second and third shot were forced. they held me down for those. After I got the shot I noticed I was getting sick a lot and that a cold was lasting up to a month. I started to get dizzy spells. I would get up and couldn't because I would almost fall down. It helps some, but not a lot. I still have horrible reactions when I am around my worst allergens (ie: dogs, cats) even when I have taken Claritin 24 Hour that morning. For general seasonal allergies it does help keep them at bay enough that I can function. It can also help to dispel some of my headaches, if they are allergy and/or congestion-based.

Because I deal with chronic pain an antidepressant was initially prescribed to me about 9 years ago. Since that time I have also started menopause and I started getting more sensitive and weepy and mad at being sick so they changed my medication to Cymbalta and have since increased the dosage to twice what they initially prescribed. I notice a big difference with this drug and feel it has done the trick.
