Not 100% sure if all symptoms are due to taking carbimazole but have stiffness and pains in leg muscles and knees and also arms. Also seem to be bruising more easily and have hemaeroids and though not causing pain they are bleeding which is not coinciding with a bowel movement bleeding when passing urine, in between going to the toilet and when asleep. I am a long time user of birth control pills, and ended up on Reclipsen just 6 months ago because my insurance would no longer cover my old birth control pills. Albuterol made me really jittery and uncomfortable. Yes, I was able to breathe, but my body felt wierd and my heart raced. Advair is expensive! It's like $40 a month!! I tried to get my insurance to explain to me why so pricey, they said that's how much it is...you pay for 2 co pays w/ Advair cause it's 2 different drugs in one.

Been on it 4 days. Black stools, severe heart palpitations and dizziness. Can't sleep. Have read up on side effects on internet. All of these are possible and then some. No muscle/tendon problems, though. Will contact physician on Monday to discontinue this med.

See my mother's Alz experience above. She got into trouble with only 3/4 of a .5 mg tab a day. When I insisted Mom be sedated for invasive procedures at a hospital ER room, they figured they'd give her a full day's allowed dose at once, so that would be 1.5 mg. That put her in LaLa land allright. I was grateful they used it on this occasion. Overuse of this drug could have stopped her breathing. 22 mg in one day. Good grief. Mom's been off it for about a month now, and has NO delusions at all... View full comment
