Update. The worry over Lantus is over for me. I tried Levemir for a couple of months, before switching back to Lantus as it made no difference to the pain. Then I had a diagnosis of polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) a few weeks ago. This was after several visits to my doctor and a rheumatologist, blood tests and a radiological bone scan. I'm now on a lowish dose of prednisolone (10mg/day), with calcium (800mg/day) and alendronic acid (70mg once per week) to protect my bones from the steroid. Most... View full comment

Benzamycin works great on clearing up acne. It is much better than using OTC drugs and creams. Although it must be prescribed by a doctor or dermatologist and can be pricey, it is very much worth it. I noticed clearer skin that lasted.

I got poison ivy and it was still bothering me after I put cream on it. So before going to school I took it, but it made really drowsy the whole day. I would take it again, but not before going to school.

As I said before, I used this medication for my back pain, and it really worked, it relieved my back and helped me having a better sleep time. I really appreciated it. But I had to use it in combinayion with paracetamol.

What was interesting about the drug was how dry it made my skin. My lips were so dry, chapped and red. They always peeled, and my skin seemed so much more dry. Accutane has cured any previous acne I had on my chest and back. From time to time I get a pimple or two, but this is recent. A year after accutane, I was still getting nasty breakouts.

I switched to Vivelle Dot after being on Premarin for 18 years. I am disappointed that my side effects of weight gain and breast tenderness are bad enough to make me want to stop using it. I feel it is safer than Premarin but I cannot live with the side effects.

I have diabetes, treated with oral and insulin. Also treated for high trigycerides, high cholesterol, and bp. Carving for sugar has increased, gained 10# and all readings have jumped up remarkably since starting this medication. At first it helped the pain in my hands and generalized/overall aching pain. Lately I have begun to feel more pain and particularly old injury pain in neck/back, which has flared for years. Doctor just increase dosage from 300 mg x3 to 600 mg x3 to see if tha...
