I would have thought 3 months is a long enough trial, I don't think therefore that this one is going to work for you... Have you tried anything else? If this is the next in a long list of "things to try" then can I suggest that you go back to your GP and ask for a dermatology referral. There is a drug called Roaccutane ( you may have heard of it) Yes, its strong and Yes, it does have side effects, but it is effective against acne when all else has failed. I've taken only immediate release niacin. With twice a day dosing, I've never had any liver issues. Every time I try three times a day dosing, I eventually get elevated liver enzymes.

I've been on Ortho Tri Cyclen lo for most of the last several years. Side effects from that were little to none, and definitely tolerable. Cesia, however, has deprived me of any sex drive whatsoever. And even when I would become engaged in the activity with my husband, it wouldn't work... because I was completely dry. It is frustrating.

Taking Lupron shots to make me go into menapause so I can take Aromasin for breast cancer. Fatigue is bad. Hot flashes, sweats, chills, fever off and on, depression is bad, now my hands/fingers are numb/tingling and hurt. I hate this drug. For 4 days after I get the shot I am in bed, I cry and I"m depressed and I feel so sick like I have the flu and I hurt all over. I think this drug is killing me.
