I wish this drug was available in the US. It is a very popular drug in the rest of the world. I know it was a taken off the shelves in a few countries for some kidney problems that might have been caused in young children and others by it, so I am sure it will never make it here, but it is an effective pain killer if taken moderately, maybe not every day. Since taking carbimazole have stopped taking my rosuvastin cholesterol pill as getting really bade effects of having muscle pain in arm and terrible hot patches on the front of my legs and have got cream from the doctor which has calmed down a bit. Would like to know if anyone has experienced very bad swelling on eye lids and bags under eyes especially if I have a glass of red wine as I have Graves eye disease. Update. The worry over Lantus is over for me. I tried Levemir for a couple of months, before switching back to Lantus as it made no difference to the pain. Then I had a diagnosis of polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) a few weeks ago. This was after several visits to my doctor and a rheumatologist, blood tests and a radiological bone scan. I'm now on a lowish dose of prednisolone (10mg/day), with calcium (800mg/day) and alendronic acid (70mg once per week) to protect my bones from the steroid. Most... View full comment
