My 15 year old son has ADHD. He has been on numerous stimulants over the years as well as Strattera. The stimulants caused decreased weight and appetitie and increased frustration. While they helped with focus, the tradeoffs were difficult. He currently is on Vyvanse 50 mg daily and began Intuniv 1mg three weeks ago and has titrated up to 3 mg. I was prescribed Adderall XR for adult ADHD. It definetly helped with the ADHD symptoms of innattention and lack of focus but I began abusing the adderall and took up to 30 XR mg, 3 times per day. Taking more than prescribed made me very aggitated, hyper focused and made my fibromyalgia nerve pain worse. I stop taking adderall al together.
