I took this medication a while back for my Lupus and it helped me a lot, with the pain and such, and I do not recall any side effects or anything bad with this medication.

I took Xyzal back on April 20th and April 21 only to find myself in the hospital. I only took 2 5mg tablets and had 5 days of hallcinations. My 2 sisters took me to the ER where they said it was a reaction to the medication. It was like being on drugs. It was so scary that now I am going to see a phychiarist for anxiety that I am experiencing because I am afraid to go to sleep. To see me like this you would have expected that I was on LSD. I had been taking Zyrtec for about 5 years and before that was taking an older form of Allegra. As many allergy sufferers know, these and all allergy medications only work for a short amount of time before your body becomes immune to the effects. I can honestly say after three months of Xyzal, I have been symptom free since day one.
