I am 43 and after 21 years without seeing a physician, my family convinced me to see a doctor after I started suffering from depression. After the exam and bloodwork, my bp was 130\70 and all blood levels were normal. My doctor prescribed Wellbutrin and scheduled a follow up visit in 3 weeks. I have bacteria in my stomach and was prescribed prevpac. I have had just about every imaginable side effect or reaction including constant headache, diarrhea, nausea, awful metallic taste in mouth, small rash that did go away within 2 days, mild itching, yeast infection, muscle cramps and pains, and awful dizziness. I had just started to try antidepressants. I was first described the generic brand of Wellbutrin XL by Tevic. I had less pain almost immediately after starting on the low dose. I wish this drug was available in the US. It is a very popular drug in the rest of the world. I know it was a taken off the shelves in a few countries for some kidney problems that might have been caused in young children and others by it, so I am sure it will never make it here, but it is an effective pain killer if taken moderately, maybe not every day.
