I have been taking Fosamax for 4 years. The side effects have gotten worse the last two. I do have an irregular heart beat (Supra VT) that has also gotten worse. My last bone density test shows the results to be very minimal if at all.

I have thinning neck discs causing pressure on a nerve and spinal cord and the pain in my arm was unbearable -I was crying at times with it. Lyrica at 600 mg a day (with Tramadol ) has allieviated this but I have had slight vision problems at some times and absolutely no Libido! I love effexor and what it did for me. I don't like having to deal with hives and looking like I've been mugged. My face swells and the hives make me scratch holes in my skin. I've missed work because of frequent hospital trips. I would take effexor again, but I would really rather do without that particular side effect.

Elavil seems to get me out of my mood swings. I fell like my life is more in control and I have more confidence. I am able to do the daily chores and am able to concentrate better at work. It did give me mild headaces before, at he beginning, but in couple of weeks I got used to this drug. I am very dependent on it because if I skip a dose, I get moody and irritated.
