The first 2 months were hell. It felt like every thought had to be pulled through a vat of mollasses to be had. I didn't sleep more than 2 hours in a row, couldn't remember the simplest figures and had to drop 2 classes at school. However, my viral load went undetectable in 30 days and by about the third month things started to get a little better and now I hardly notice the side effects. I have been on several antidepressants over the years. My problems started with very severe panic attacks. For this condition, Paxil was amazing. Sometimes when your symptoms are severe, it will take at least 1 month before the medicine will really start working its purpose. Paxil did make me gain weight, but I still feel this is the best drug for me for those symptoms. The first day I started taking Celexa (20mg/per day) I got theee worst jaw chenching. I yawned probly 20 times or more in an hour, and at night when I was going to bed I was sooo tired, I layed down, I could NOT sleep. I layed in bed for four hours trying to sleep, tossing and turning.
