I usually have terrible migraines or headaches and paracetemol helps remove the pain however when they are severe paracetemol does not work as well.

My 14 year old daughter has taken 2 of the 3 recommended dosages of the Gardasil shots. Her symptoms began just days after her first shot, but I attributed it to an extremely painful mentrual cycle. The symptoms your son was experiencing may have been the result of a bacterial infection, as opposed to allergies, which is probably the reason your eye specialist prescribed the antibiotics.
